Pavior seamlessly tracks and organizes every user event into the User history tab of the user profile. The tab shows a timeline of all events that have occurred between your company and the user over the lifetime of the relationship. See Custom events for more info.
The timeline aims to solve two problems:
- Give a 2-second summary of what happened with the user
- Allow you to understand why certain events are occurring.
To solve the first goal, the timeline gives a summary view of all the events, along with an activity chart showing how active the user has been over time.
For the second goal, the timeline allows you to "drill down" into any specific event or set of events, and see all the neighboring events. For example, if a user cancels their paid subscription, you might discover that a critical javascript error occurred just before that, or that they had a bad customer support interaction. In most companies, payment events and javascript errors are stored in different systems. By using Pavior, these events (along with many others) are linked into a single timeline, allowing you to easily discover problems in any part of the user experience.
The User history is deeply integrated with Time travel: website sessions are visible in the history. So if you see an event and want to understand what the user was doing on your website before/after that event, you can easily rewind time to view a session replay.
