Assignment rules

Assignment rules let you route new incoming conversations to specific inboxes based on various criteria. For instance, if you want messages from a specific email address to be assigned to your best sales rep, you can set up a rule for that.

You can access assignment rules from [MDX CODE].

An assignment rules has 3 parts:

  • Rule name is for yo to distinguish between different rules.
  • Filters are used to decide if a message matches a given rule.
  • Assignee is the inbox to which the incoming message will be assigned if the filter rules are met.

You can have multiple assignment rules on the page, and the first one that matches takes priority. If want to change the priority, you can drag the rules to rearrange them on the page.

If no rules are matched, the conversation will be assigned to the Unassigned inbox.
